Stressful Exhaustion

I have decided that stress in my life is no bueno!

I had my house all clean and ready to go. I kept it up every morning and every night. The laundry was done and put away and I felt good!

Then Makenzie's procedure happened. I am sure some of you think I have dramatized the whole thing but really it was very paralyzing for me. I spent the day before stressing. I got nothing done. My mind wondered and worried all day. The day of we didn't get home until about 2pm. I picked up burgers for lunch, took a nap with Makenzie on the couch, ordered Thai food for dinner, and stressed while feeding her dinner. At this point I was emotionally and physically exhausted.

Friday I felt better after a good nights sleep and a little girl who was well hydrated. I felt even better when she took steps in her walker and better yet after dinner was done that night and there was no puking or need for any anti nausea drugs! However by this point my clean, ready to show house was far from ready for anything. The laundry has piled up, there are paint supplies everywhere, I am covered in primer, and have lost all motivation to start all over again!

Doing nothing is not an option though because by Friday the upstairs needs to be painted (with the help of my family of course), clean, and ready for carpet to be  installed. CRAP! I am tired! I was on a roll but my roll has officially stopped rolling.

Makenzie is doing great! Her little legs are so much looser! She is kicking and moving them so much more. Both her therapist and I asked her on Friday if her legs felt better and she very clearly responded "YEAH" I am so proud of my girl!!! The only lasting issue from the procedure is some pretty significant bruising from several attempted IV sites. I really have never seen anything like it!

Makenzie discovered Angry birds on the iPad yesterday and had so much fun! I helped Makenzie put her hand on the bird and she pulled back the sling shot and let the bird go! There were a couple of times she actually beat the level! She giggled so hard when the birds "blew up".

I am now going to force myself to try and get a few things back under control tonight before we begin a two day marathon of painting on top of all the day to day stuff that needs to be done! Though I would much prefer to sit on the couch and watch a movie or maybe even head to bed! Please pray for the return of my sanity and clean house!

Believe... Prayer Works!

I e-mailed the people from "The Certain Proof" and the responded with:
Thank you for the email. Currently, the film is on the film festival circuit. It is premiering at the Vail Film Festival in Colorado March 31st through April 3rd. Check back on www.certainproof.com periodically to see what other festivals it will be appearing. Our hope is that after this season's festivals, it will be picked up by a broadcaster or distributor for national airing. We will update the website with current information as things progress.
I hope this helps.

I know what you mean, somthing comes along and knocks your "ball" right out of your hands...

Have you tried Arnica gel for the bruising?

Sounds like she's doing fantastically, really pleased the outcome of the proceedure went well, I know the actual thing was an ordeal. Good luck with the painting. love Mel xxx
