Out with the Old

Well the last two nights I have found the sandman getting the best of me at Makenzie's bed time. Last night I woke up to start her water at 2am and tonight at midnight. I have had 4 hours of sleep and am hoping I will be able to fall back to sleep again soon!

Over the last couple of days my back has been hurting. I could not figure out why. I don't remember doing anything different. Today, I think I figured it out. Makenzie has gained 1lb 4ozs in the last 2 weeks. I am pretty sure some of that is muscle from walking and moving! Go Makenzie! I am sure hoping my back gets used to the extra weight soon!!!

I have managed to purge 10 years worth of stuff out of my basement yesterday and today. Other then my Christmas stuff, I managed to consolidate what I needed and what was important memorabilia to 3 medium sized moving boxes. Today I came across the little pink dress we brought Makenzie home from the hospital as a newborn. I held back  tears thinking about my little tiny tiny 5lb 2oz little princess.  Then I promptly put it back in the box with all the rest of my children's babyhood memories and continued on!

It is amazing how much stuff we collect over the years and the realization of what an adventure moving will truly be is starting to set in!

I also talked to a old friend yesterday. We have shared so much over the last 15 years. Good time, bad times, and everything in between. I was telling her that we were strongly considering moving which sparked a conversation about how long I had lived here. Both of us laughed when we figured it out and the good ole.... "time flies when you are having fun"..... phrase was thrown around.

After a few moments the laughter turned more serious because for both of us the last 10 years have really been quite trying, stressful, and I am not quite sure I would call most of it fun. We ended the conversation with the realization that we are in a new decade and....... it is going to be a good one!

This decade has started out very well if I do say so myself! I am very happy with where we are today! Life is good.

Believe... Prayer Works!
