Same thing different day.
Not much has been going on around here. The boys have been plugging away at school and Makenzie has been plugging away at therapy.
Makenzie's PT suggested that I take Makenzie to the Nutcracker a few weeks ago. I blew it off because sitting in the balcony was not an option as Makenzie does not like to look down and the good seats which would work for her come at a very hefty price. Multiply that by 5 and you have a new big screen TV. Neither are in my budget!
Erica and I decided it would be fun to take the kids to the ballet. Yes, I realize we are crazy but it is Christmas time and doing something festive is on the list of things to do. So we set out a couple of days ago looking at tickets for the Nutcracker.
I went out on a limb and sent the theater an e mail telling them about our needs. When they called me back with seats that would work at a price I could swallow I was nearly in tears. It is such a good feeling to know that the community around you cares so much! They did not have to accommodate our children's needs but they did. They could have turned the other cheek and sold those seats for what they are worth but they didn't. Today we have 11 tickets.
The theater was wonderful and was able to seat us all together, at stage level , where everyone will be able to see for a price that was more than amazing! So blessed!
So on Christmas Eve I will be taking my brood along with Erica's brood to see a live ballet! There is a first for everything and I am so excited. The kids are going to LOVE it!
We are blessed!
