Pranksters

My boys asked me if they could have a sleep over tonight. I commenced on the conditions that they clean their rooms, put away their laundry, and pick up the trail of mess they had may through out the day.

After I put Makenzie to bed I walked into my sons room to tell them that Makenzie was in bed and that they all needed to be quiet. There were 5 little boys sitting on the beds. 2 phone books and one on the phone. I asked my sons friend who he was talking to and he responded..."my mom". I turned and walked out of the room shutting the door on my way out.

I got half way down the stairs before it dawned on me what was really going on. I turned around and walked back in the room. My sons friend quickly hung up the phone and declared "she didn't answer". I took the phone and picked up the phone books.

Kids are not the smartest creatures on the earth. I pushed the redial button on the phone and the first 3 characters read *67. I looked at my son's friend and asked him if calling his mom required blocking the number. He told me "no" and gave me a half grin with a blush slowly creeping across his face.

No more words needed. I turned and walked out of the room, again shutting the door behind me. This time I had the phone and the phone books in my hand. At that point all I could do was smirk. I remember doing that as a kid. (sorry mom... LOL) I don't remember getting caught however.

These kids keep me on my toes but I am so glad they have friends! I prayed so hard for that when my boys were little. Some times I am not sure why I asked for this because now I have a house full of little boys all the time. They eat my food, make messes in my house, make prank calls from my phone and are just plain loud. Really though, I do love it.

Makenzie loves it too. Tonight she got to sit outside on the deck while she was getting her dinner watching all the big boys jump on the trampoline. She giggled at their silliness. She talked and participated and each and every one of them are so good to Makenzie.

Makenzie had a great day today. I decided that summer was almost over so we ignored everything we needed to do today and just hung out.

I started Makenzie on a new acid reflux drug a few days ago. It seems to be working! I am so excited and thankful! God hears my prayers and he answers! I hope I am not jinxing the improvement but for today it was a welcome surprise. Thanks so much Shauna for trailing this first!

Makenzie is sleeping and this party pooper of a mom is planning on getting the sleep over party wrapped up into bed soon.

Pray for another good day tomorrow!

Believe.... Prayer Works!

So glad it's working for you! I know how hard you struggle with this so I'm really hoping for Makenzie's sake and the sake of your sanity that this is it! I'm praying for it!
