Let Me Play!

We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.

It was brought to my attention today that we are leaving in 1.5 weeks for our 3 weeks trip to AZ. I don't know why but I feel like I have so much to do and have no clue how I am going to get it all done! Well.... I guess I feel like this every time we travel and some how we always make it out the door and catch the plane!

We had a full day but a good day.

Makenzie is doing so well in therapy. Her arms continue to amaze me. Today in PT Makenzie decided she could hap push up on her elbow in the prone position all while keeping her head up and in midline! This is so awesome!

Makenzie also got to play with her iPad a ton today and just loved it. When I asked her if she wanted to play her games she got the biggest smile on her face, she kicked and wiggled until I brought the iPad to her. She even lifted her hands up onto her tray so she could play.

I have received many questions about the iPad and I am getting a post ready on some specific information on what apps we are using, how it can be adapted and mounted for kids in wheel chairs and what accessories we have found to be the most useful. It's coming I promise!

Here are a few pictures and video of Makenzie and her iPad.

Makenzie is feeling much better! We have some extra time tomorrow that is not committed to any other appointments and I hope to get the kids to the pool! We shall see!

Just figured out how to comment on here! I just got Sam's i-pad - he will get it at his birthday party on Saturday! So excited for him to use it! Can't wait to read about your i-pad recommendations!! Makenzie looks great!
