Here to Stay!

The day Makenzie smiled again after her accident was amazing! I was playing with her arms, moving them back and forth really fast. It made my heart skip a beat and then melt. The smiles came and went. Some days she would smile and some days she would not. For a VERY long time I went to bed with the fear Makenzie would forget how to smile.

Over time the smiles began to come every day. I still had fear she would forget. The same thing happened with her laugh and many other things Makenzie has done over the last 3 years. Some of these skills stay and some of them come and go. The going part is SOOOOO frustrating.

One of these skills is rolling. Makenzie can roll. Makenzie does roll but it is a come and go kinda thing. Every time she has a come moment I wonder if this time will be the moment rolling will be here to stay.

Today was a day rolling was here. She did a great job rolling many times today and as I put her to bed tonight I wondered if she will do it again tomorrow. We shall see. I hope so! I would love for her to roll all over the place! I know she will but when is the question.

Here is a short video of the beauty that is Makenzie rolling...

Each and every time she get better. The cool thing about where Makenzie is at today.... she gets it. She will roll on 3 or go and really plays the game with me. She laughs so hard when I tell her to "go away" or "get outa here" it is so cute.

Pray that rolling is here to stay! Oh would that be ever so sweet! I can't even remember the day Makenzie didn't smile... that day and the fear is history. The day when I can't remember Makenzie not rolling everywhere is coming! Pray!

Believe... Pray Works

7 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
9 "Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! 12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:7-12
