Chore Fun

Why does it feel like you are in the middle of a battle field anytime you ask kids to do anything but play?

I have not done a very good job of teaching my kids how to work. It has just been so much easier to do it myself then fight with them to do it.

Today I asked them to help with some house work and you would have thought I was asking them to lift a 3 ton car. Oh the whining, complaining, crying and fighting. I really wanted to run away.

For the most part in the end we got it done. My oldest got the yard mowed, the other 2 picked some weeds in the yard. It was during this chore I was called a slave driver! Ahhhhhhhhh. We got the laundry put away and the kitchen cleaned.

The reward was going out to lunch. Well, lunch really wasn't anything we weren't going to do anyways but they don't know that so shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......don't tell them that!

In the afternoon we met a friend and one of his friends who suffered a TBI(brain injury) a couple of years ago for lunch to chat about stem cells. We had a great time and the kids were very well behaved.

Makenzie did well today. Tonight turned into a late night because the boys where having so much fun playing with Makenzie before bed. I just layed in bed watching the silliness. The boys were running around the bed, playing peak a boo, and just making Makenzie giggle and roll all over the place! I couldn't bring myself to be the party pooper! So I didn't!

Every day I am reminded how blessed I am! Even though we had a rough start to our day it ended with my heart swelling with such love for all of my children. Watching them love each other is just amazing!

Believe... Prayer Works!!!!
