"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." (Romans 12:12, NIV)

Makenzie worked her little tail end off again today in PT! Before they started I told her therapist about a dream I had last night about Makenzie pushing up into a side sit.

I walked out of the room for a minute and came back and she looked at me and told me I should keep dreaming. I looked at her a bit confused and she said "watch this" There was Makenzie on her belly, pushing through her arm, with a bit of help at the should on her left side, with her head up, and a smile on her face! WOW!!!!

Ok so then she had her in all fours, she looked pretty good. She transitioned her into tall kneel with a bit of rocking and Makenzie giggled and used her OWN muscles and just pushed into tall kneel ALONE!!! Ok this is AMAZINGLY HUGE!!! NEVER EVER BEFORE HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED! She proceeded to do this about 7 times! She was so proud and for me to watch her little legs move all alone instead of being forced into tall kneel while screaming with her therapist using all of her strength just to get her there just made my heart overflow!!!

She has also been playing this game where she lays on the couch with me. I tell her to get down and she will roll from her back or side to get off the couch. Then she finds the floor with her feet and will stand up. Today I had her lean forward and climb back onto the couch. I helped with the first leg and then she would get the second one on the couch, bring the first one forward flat onto the couch, push, and stand up!!! More amazing stuff!!!

I also got Course 101 on Makenzie talker and I was able to add some language to it all by myself! LOL!!! I really do have quite a joy and passion for all of this stuff!

I talked for a bit with her therapist this afternoon. Makenzie's body feels so different to everyone. I asked her what she thought had changed. Now of course no one knows exactly and never will, but she feels like the last 3 years of therapy have been very important and the stem cells have really given her a better awareness of her body. This is very important because if you don't think you have muscles, arms, legs, hips, trunk, neck, shoulders, or head (sorry for the anatomy lesson! LOL)you can not use them! She believes that the stem cells have pulled everything together! I told all her therapists that we have planned another trip to Costa Rica and they are really excited!!

I know that God has a plan. I don't always understand but he has gotten us this far so I will continue to trust he knows what is best!
