I met a wonderful family in the last couple weeks! Their son Christian has been in the PICU fighting for his life after nearly drowning and is doing GREAT! Today Christian turned one! What a blessing to have this very special little boy in the world! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTIAN!

Christian with his hugs from all over the world!

I remember how hard all of the firsts were after Makenzie's accident. As thankful as I was she was still alive it was VERY bittersweet. Makenzie turned 4 the day we left for Costa Rica and it was still hard but much easier then in that past! I never thought it would get any easier but it has! I love my princess so much! I want her to get better. I will never, ever give up on her! I will, for the rest of my life, fight for her!

I am so thankful to have so many friends that also feel the same way about their kiddos! I have met so many people on this journey that have become my family! You know who you are and I thank God for each and every one of you daily!

On our kids birthdays, Christmas, the first day of school, and in so many other life happenings we are there for each other. What should be great days bring so many different feelings when you have a child with special needs. Only a select few get it! I can't talk to too many people that understand being SUPER EXCITED to spend thousands of dollars on therapy instead of a new car or house. Not to many understand how frustrating it can be to write an IEP just so your kid can go to school. How many understand how to reconfigure a gait trainer or how to change a g tube! How many know what these mean IEP, STNR, ATNR, AFO, SMO, EI, ESY,IFSP, SCT, OT, PT, SLP and the list goes on!

Then there are those of you that may not understand the above but continue to pray for our family and have offered your unending support for the last 2 1/2 years! I thank God daily for you as well!!!

With out each and every one of you we would not be where we are today! I am not sure if you realize how much your comments on this blog, face book, dropshots, and e-mail mean to us! Your words of joy and excitement when Makenzie makes improvements and words of encouragement when things seem hopeless are like gold! Thank You!

Today we had the walk though on the house. It looks GREAT by the way! I was walking around the house talking to one of the guys that painted. I am not sure how it came up but I started telling him about Makenzie. He asked if he could come in and meet her, Of course I said yes! He looked at me and asked if I believed in God. I told him yes. To this he responded with... I believe that God will heal her but you have to truly BELIEVE that he will! Then he placed his hand on Makenzie and started praying in Spanish. I had no clue what he was saying but the tears just came! This beautiful man, a compete stranger to me, covered in paint, standing in my home, speaking in another language, cared enough to stand and pray over my precious little girl! God NEVER ceases to amaze me! It was such an overwhelming but WONDERFUL moment. One I will NEVER forget! If you are reading this.. THANK YOU!

Tonight I am overwhelmed with how blessed I am to have ALL of you! Please keep praying for Makenzie! Pray for continued healing! Believe.... Prayer Works!!!

Aww! What an awesome story! Isn't it amazing how much good there is in this world that you didn't even notice before?

Thank you so much for mentioning Christian in your blog. I'm so glad I found you and Jenny! You guys are like lifelines! The support is amazing and I hope one day I'll know as much as you guys and can offer the same support in return. For now, I'll do my very best!
